Rooster food truck redesign

Process
The original rooster food tuck was plain white with a very simple illustration. Our goal was to create a new logo and illustrations to add more life to the truck, to attract more customers and create a more eye catching and memorable appearance.

Sketches: The Rooster is a breakfast food truck, so not only did we want to incorporate a rooster into the design, but we also thought it would be a good idea to highlight some breakfast food favorites from the menu.

I incorporated our individual contributions into the final design for the food truck, adding a starburst effect to help tie together our breakfast- related illustrations. The result was something far more dynamic than the original truck, helping The Rooster to become a more recognizable mobile eatery in LA.

Takeaways: This was a fun project that granted me the chance to work collaboratively with a partner and imagine a new possibility for an existing business. The challenge was to use blending modes as an illustration technique, which resulted in a rooster image that is dynamic and eye catching.
