The Brief: In this academic project, we were to create a series of posters for a social justice cause. I chose healthcare-now.org, which fights for national access to healthcare in the US. The two concepts that I chose to elaborate on were a somewhat morbid "Wheel of Fortune" to highlight the reality of healthcare access for many Americans; and an twist on the classic Uncle Sam poster to make viewers think about the costs of healthcare in the US.

Process
This project began with initial sketches, coming up with different ways to visually tell the story about how healthcare in the US is a for-profit system.

I then elaborated on 6 of my ideas, looking for ways to come up with eye catching and somewhat shocking imagery that would simply explain to viewers that the current system of healthcare in the US is too expensive to the citizens to be sustainable.
